LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Committee

The mission of this newly formed committee is to provide a local network of support through education, networking and data sharing for the Florida Gulf Coast building owner, property management and facility management community to encourage and facilitate existing buildings to actively pursue the LEED-EB or LEED-EBOM certification process.
This will be accomplished with the following approaches:
- Host roundtables at least twice each year for owner / management community to discuss:
- The LEED AP designation and the benefits of having this body of knowledge to a property / facility manager;
- The LEED EB certification process in general;
- Cost effective steps for greening your building in preparation for the LEED certification process;
- Share data, templates of LEED documentation submittals and other certification tips among properties to facilitate the process and lower the learning curve for properties contemplating or just starting the LEED certification process; and
- Partner with other local real estate organizations to further educate building engineers on sustainable processes and procedures.
- Sponsor other local real estate organization meetings to build awareness of the committee and its efforts in the local property management community.
- Build this committee web site page to share LEED EB data and documentation of properties wanting to assist other properties in the process
