  Programs and Events Committee

      Chapter Website program audience image.jpg

Mission:

To provide substantive events to the Chapter region and facilitate varied opportunities for networking, resource sharing, and technical knowledge of the USGBC and its rating systems as they relate to the Green Development and Building industry and ongoing building operations. It is the intent that the Programs and Events will foster meaningful comprehension of and demand for Green Building strategies in the mainstream.

Primary Responsibilities:

The P&E committee works alongside the other Chapter committees to plan and launch events of all types to both serve our members and to be a catalyst for regional Sustainability efforts.

There are programs and training events occurring year-round, with the planning and coordination commencing months in advance. The annual calendar of events is planned as far in advance as possible, with the general event plans commencing in the 4th quarter of the previous year. The annual Smart Sustainable Conference is the biggest annual event that the Chapter hosts, with the 2-day event featuring keynote speakers, technical workshops, and panel discussions, and vendor exhibits.
