TAMPA BAY BRANCH PROGRAM
LEED BUILDING TOUR & ALTERNATE ENERGY PRESENTATION
Join us at the Chancey Design Partnership Office, which was the first LEED-NC certified building located in the City of Tampa. Located in historic Ybor City, this beautiful 4-story office features an abundance of daylight and achieved an Energy Star design rating of 81 through its incorporation of a variety of design industry best practices.
In addition to a building tour and reception, the Genesis Group will provide a presentation about their work with Imperium Energy to develop a 3,000 acre Alternative Energy and Eco-industrial Research Park master plan, which is to be located on an abandoned phosphate mining site in eastern Hillsborough County. Planned to include a variety of alternative energies, sustainable development principals and practices, this renewable Energy Park project would be the largest private-sector investment project in Hillsborough County’s history. Upon completion, it could accommodate up to six (6) million sq.ft. of research offices, manufacturing and an incubator park, potentially generating several thousand more long-term industry and technology jobs. In addition to providing a carbon neutral energy source for up to 110,000 homes and businesses, this exciting project has the potential to further advance the long term competitiveness and sustainability of Hillsborough County and the Tampa Bay region by creating what will be the largest alternative and renewable energy park in all of Florida, if not the entire United StatesWednesday, February 24th
Registration starts at 5:30pm
